YOUR TASKS
The Application Support engineer will work in a team environment with operations and development colleagues to ensure application operations for PAYBACK Italy, Mexico, Austria and Poland.
This role serves the organization in the following capacity:     
  • 2nd level operation, administration and configuration of web (Apache / Tomcat) and application servers (Weblogic)
  • monitoring (including continuous improvements), analysis of performance issues and incidents
  • Incident-, Change- and Problem Management 
  • Interface with external service providers and partners, ensuring consistent service delivery across the platform
  • post-mortem analysis for every prio 1 and prio 2  incident handled by the team, with emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Ensure accuracy of published Key Performance Indicators 
  • Interface with business partners and sponsors, driving rapid issue resolution for identified event and incident
  • support of automated Deployments
  • Ready to work in ON CALL model (i.e. to provide support during weekends / holidays etc.)
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Necessarily at least 3 years of operations experience in application support team, with emphasis on monitoring, incident, problem, and change management procedures following ITL process
  • 2nd level operation, experience in supporting / trouble shooting web (Apache / Tomcat),  application servers (Weblogic), Oracle as database, understanding of XML, JSON, Web Services technologies
  • Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (shell or python scripting will be an advantage)
  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools 
  • Post-mortem analysis for every prio 1 and prio 2  incident handled by the team, with emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Interface with business partners and sponsors, driving rapid issue resolution for identified event and incident
  • Ready to work in ON CALL model (i.e. to provide support during weekends / holidays etc.)
  • Familiar with working in a DevOps environment
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly with Business Partners, Leadership, non-technical end users, Technical SMEs and vendors
