PAYBACK has been an Olympic partner since 2003, supporting the German Olympic teams in Athens in 2004, Turin in 2006 and Beijing in 2008. By supporting the German Olympic team, PAYBACK is demonstrating its commitment to social issues. This sponsorship project underlines the fact that the company aims to reflect the Olympic values of fairness, equality and determination. These values also guide PAYBACK in achieving its primary goal – delivering real benefits for customers.

The collaboration has already been extremely successful, with PAYBACK so far handing over more than EUR 300,000 collected through charity campaigns to Deutsche Sporthilfe. For example, the "Collect gold points" campaign run in connection with the Summer Olympics in 2008 made it possible for members to collect 15-fold points for the first time ever.

FASPO, the German Sponsorship Association, and the Communications Association presented Germany’s largest bonus scheme with the International Sponsoring Award in the Sport Sponsorship category.

The PAYBACK Premium Card for top German sports people
As part of PAYBACK’s commitment to the Olympics, a dedicated credit card has been created for the German Olympic team. With the “PAYBACK Premium Card for top German sports people”, athletes, coaches and administrative staff can make payments anywhere in the world and collect PAYBACK points at the same time. Points will automatically be awarded to Deutsche Sporthilfe with every purchase.
