Can you tell us about your career at Loyalty Partner so far?
At the moment I am in charge of the online and portal development team at Loyalty Partner Solutions GmbH. One of our tasks is to continually improve the online services at www.payback.de for PAYBACK customers. For example, we have implemented new requirements for our website in the areas of rewards and PAYBACK payment cards. Our solutions make it easier for PAYBACK customers to make purchases in the rewards shop or order the PAYBACK Premium Card. It’s a varied task which presents us with new challenges every day.
I joined Loyalty Partner in 2002, which meant I was right there during the start-up process. I can still feel the special spirit of those early years today, including the good teamwork in the young team and the fact that you get the chance to work in interesting and future-focused topics. I started as a software specialist for Internet projects and online portals. Back then, I worked on the first projects to set up our website. I then became a technical project manager, and today I am the team leader in this area. So I’ve had a few different jobs in my six years with the company. That’s a feature of life with Loyalty Partner, though. Things are constantly evolving round here, which is what makes it so exciting.

What makes Loyalty Partner special for you?
I have worked at Loyalty Partner for more than seven years. I started in the HR department, which was just being set up at the time. Here, I experienced the fascinating development of the company. Back then, there were only around 80 employees – now there are more than 500. I played an active role in shaping many of the processes.
One of my main tasks is to ensure that our employees are paid on time every month. I also run our national and international payroll accounting office. One thing I like about my job is that I have contact with all the Loyalty companies.
The thing that makes Loyalty Partner special for me is the unique and unconventional teamwork. I like the feeling of “we” at the company and the respectful, honest way in which employees interact. Everyone has the chance to have their say and make a difference. I am fascinated by the way in which we handle complex topics quickly and simply with a high level of professionalism.
After so many years, I am still happy and proud to be part of such an exciting company as Loyalty Partner.

Why did you choose to work for Loyalty Partner?
I was looking for a new challenge in my career, when I heard about Loyalty Partner. The job description appealed to me immediately. It offered me the chance to work in a company that would use the IT systems that I developed. I was fascinated first and foremost by the “customer loyalty” aspect of Loyalty Partner. But I was also impressed by the huge data volumes involved as they always throw up new challenges.
I work at Loyalty Partner Solutions GmbH in the area of database development, where we develop the backend system. It calls for expertise in data modelling and database design and detailed knowledge of the specialist processes.
I have worked at Loyalty Partner for more than five years. Time and again, my experiences at the company ensure me that I made the right decision all those years ago. I am impressed with how the employees interact at the company and value the short decision-making paths within the organisation.
What’s more, the company is constantly evolving. When I started, there were only 120 employees. Now there are more than 500. This means, of course, that you always have to develop and learn new things to keep pace with the company, but that’s what makes the work so exciting.
This applies even more so now that the group has reorganised its structure. In July 2008, Loyalty Partner Solutions GmbH was founded from a former division. Now I have the chance to be a part of something completely new.
