PAYBACK scores points during the Olympics with high media presence

Biggest campaign since the start of the bonus programme eight years ago – TV campaign featuring commercial, presentation and special advertising format, medal table in BILD newspaper

Germany's largest bonus programme PAYBACK is to have a very high media presence during the Summer Olympic Games (8 – 24 August 2008). The Olympics partner will not only be running a TV commercial for the major "Collect gold points" campaign before and during the Summer Games in Beijing, but will also be giving presentations on ARD, ZDF and in the BILD newspaper. On RTL, PAYBACK will be running a special advertising format in addition to the presentation. "Collect gold points" is the largest campaign since the start of PAYBACK.

The PAYBACK TV commercial starts on 1 August – one week before the opening of the Games – on ARD, ZDF and the major private channels. The 27-second ad shows the familiar image world combined with real-life, highly emotive pictures of great Olympic achievements. LINDA Apotheken will also be strengthening its brand with a reminder of its own. From 8 August, the bonus programme will then be presenting the Olympic Games together with Eon and the Sparkassen Finance Group on ARD and ZDF.

PAYBACK will be represented on RTL with a medal presentation and a special split screen advertising format. The BILD newspaper will provide readers with daily updates in the form of its famous "BILD medal table", showing how many points they can collect from participating partner companies. With every gold medal that the German athletes win in Beijing, PAYBACK will multiply the points on purchases.
